This Week I Reach 50 Years Old!

Thanks for popping by to check out My Fitness Blog! You've probably wandered over here via my link at My Fitness Pal where I've been logging onto the site almost every day since early 2011 as I attempted to loose some of the weight I've managed to pile on over the last few years.

I reached my target weight of 8 stone in March and just before reaching that goal I was thinking about a new goal that would keep me interested in staying healthy and keeping the weight off.  It dawned on me that although I was enjoying my walking and jogging on my treadmill it was very unstructured. After a little bit of research I found a few C25K podcasts and decided that I'd give it a go.    For those of you who don't know - C25K stands for Couch to 5k - basically - it's a program to get people who aren't runners off their arses and running 5k in around 9 weeks.  (It starts off mainly walking with a bit of a jog and gradually builds up to less walking more jogging until after 9 weeks you should be managing 5k)  Now, although I don't think I'm the most unfit person in the world I'm certainly no runner!  The last time I did any running was when I was at school - and then I was a sprinter NOT a distance runner so this is a BIG CHALLENGE for me!

The table below is for week 2 of my C25K workout

You're so going to do this Netty. I'm waiting for my treadmill to arrive then I'm going to get back on track with my C25k programme. Running on concrete does not work for me. Although this morning I dd get wk1d1 in as a trial. Good luck Netty ... Love your blog!
