After last weeks FULLY EPIC FAIL with no exercise (thanks to New Years late Christmas celebration, family commitments, back ache, post holiday ironing and returning to work) I've promised myself that this week I HAVE TO TRY HARDER.
Last week I had lots of excuses to be idle and I was resting on my laurels a little as I'd visited the gym twice a day, morning and evening, while we were in Egypt, walking and running at least 5k at each session. I was shocked when I put on almost 2lbs last week!
This has GOT TO STOP!

I've had my new Treadmill of Torture for quite a while now - I can't remember exactly how long but certainly since early summer. Almost immediately after I bought it I took to running outdoors....ahhh those heady days of summer warmth, now a distant memory away!
The milometer was only showing a mere 100 miles when I jumped on it at the start of this week - so that's a nice memorable number. As I'm only going to do walking for the next few weeks (see if I can sort my back out!) I decided to fiddle around with some of the programs on the treadmill - something I've not even thought about doing since I got it. When I was running it just seemed easier to do the speed increases/decreases manually. Using the pre-set programs is much more fun. The temperature in my conservatory is seriously NOT FUN! A mere 7* - not exactly inviting!
This weeks result - not exactly an epic fail but I've not done as much exercise as I feel I should. Instead I've spent my time being an idle sod, playing Skyrim on my Xbox!
I would say to myself - Must Try Harder next week BUT I struggle during the winter. I struggle to get out of bed. Struggle with the dark mornings. Struggle with the cold.
Excuses excuses excuses...
