OMG - I really do think I might finish this and still be alive at the end of the final week!
MONDAY - Rest Day - START OF A NEW WEEK!
Didn't have enough time to do C25K today so I've treated it as a rest day. Monday is my "early start" day for work and if I do a reasonable dog walk there's not really enough time for the treadmill. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! In future C25K week will begin on a Tuesday. Bit late in the day for saying that as I've now only got a couple of weeks left before the end of the program!
TUESDAY - C25K DAY DAY 1 - Had a lovely dog walk this morning - 2.34 miles in total. We "surprised" 3 roe deer and watched them bound across a farmers field when they realised we were there! It was a beautiful site which boosted my happiness meter for the whole day! It's even more wonderful because I live on the outskirts of a city. I do often see them at a distance (people are surprised when I tell them that there are deer so close to us) but I rarely see them so close up.
Todays C25K workout involves: 5 minute warm up walk, 28 minute jog, 5 minute cool down walk.
Day one is a bit worrying - I'm wondering if I'll actually be able to run the distance - 28 minute run is the longest time I've ever run in my entire life!! But I made it! Phew! :)

WEDNESDAY - Rest Day - Today started with a dog walk - a different route from yesterday so there are no encounters with exciting wildlife to report. Just the usual - rabbits, birds and a few squirrels tormenting my Girlings. Just for a change Bobby was very tired when we got home. She's a Patterdale Terrier and they're a bit like the Energiser Bunny - they just go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and... (you get the picture.........)With the end of C25K in sight I'm now starting to turn my attention to what I'll do once I've completed it - as I really DO believe that I can finish it! I think I will have to spend some time building up my speed on the treadmill - sticking to the same distance but speeding up a little OR maybe I'll give running outside a go? I'm not sure which option I'll chose yet. ANOTHER option will be attempting to build up to an 8k run. I've looked at podcasts for this and I don't feel confident enough to tackle the runs - the durations are much greater with a small walking break in the middle.... Watch This Space!
THURSDAY - C25K DAY 2 - Day 2 is easier to face than day 1. I now KNOW I can run the required 28 minutes that I need to do this week if I run at a reasonable pace.
