Day one - I dragged my daughter and her partner out. I've really enjoyed having company on my runs. It's good to share an interest with somebody and heading out with friends or family means it's safer to be out running too. To start with they seemed to be quite keen on coming out running but that seems to be fading fast!

| Cake - My Reason For Running! |
Day three - rather than spend the whole day wondering if daughter and partner were going to come out running later I sent them a msg to say I was off out at 9am and if they wanted to come they could. They didn't so I went on my own. They are now two runs behind me, and as I look towards starting week 6 they still have those two runs of week 5 to do.
I suspect that our running partnership has fizzled out.
I enjoyed my run although I did miss having company. They make sure I run at a slightly slower pace which I think is good as I overheat quite a lot. I did use up about half my water as an in-run shower - pouring it onto my head as I ran! Anyone would have thought I'd run a marathon instead of a mere 4 miles! What a girl!
One of my main reasons for running is so I can eat cake and drink beer - and other good and tasty morsels Running gives me a few extra calories to "spend" on good stuff otherwise I'd be the size of a house with the food I eat!

| Beer - My Other Reason For Running |
Last year when I was trying to do this running lark for the first time I preferred to go out running first thing in the morning. This time I've been running in the evenings because this is more convenient for my two running partners. I think the time has come for me to get out there on my own again and not rely on other people joining me.
I have been considering joining a running club but I'm not sure it's for me. Can I run far enough? Probably not! Can I run fast enough? Probably not!
Thanks for popping along and reading about my attempts at running. Please come back again next time so I can bore you some more with my ramblings...
Netty
